The problem with the old shoutbox was it was WAY too narrow, and words would be divided in half from one line to the next. At least this way, the text shouldn't be broken up.

Is this the first customization the site has received? I wonder what else can be tweaked?

Made a few changes ...removed blogs and news (as we have the forum for posting that stuff anyway) and moved the Shoutbox for a more streamlined front page look. Is it better though?

Nothing to do with me. This is an "Out of the box" experience at the present time.
