Hey all! Nice new site you've got here, thanks Kiwi and Jason for all your work in setting it up.

Didn't see a thread for reporting problems yet, so I hope it's okay if I create one.

I'll start with the only thing I've noticed so far: The download link to Gamecca issue 63 goes to a copy of 64. (I grabbed 63 from the old site, but thought it should be flagged up.)

There's also a problem with the Official Xbox (USA) 058: clicking on the Mediafire link opens a page with a message "Upload still in progress… Download not available yet because the upload for this file is still in progress." In the XBN section, the scanning of the issues # 017, 018, 019, 021, 022 should be attributed to Nipedley.

Yeah I noticed about Issue 58. I thought it was scheduled for upload or something. That needs to be fixed.

The Your Computer (Australia) seams to be empty, all you get is "No Downloads has been added yet"

Your Computer (AUS) is on Mediafire account 1 which Jason has been handling but he is tied up with getting JabbaTeGamer's donated mags scanned at present. I am adding content from accounts 2 & 3 .... yes, we have THREE accounts due to the size of the downloads exceeding the 1TB storage cap on their plans by more than two .... so if he hasn't started on adding those by the time I have finished with the other two accounts I will start working through those as well. We still have 1000 odd mags to add. You can access them at the old site in the meantime anyway........

I'll see if I can get to those today. With all the rain in my part of Oz atm there's not much else to do. Chickenman - I assume you're the same chap on the Aus Vintage Computers facebook group posting to Archive.org with all those APC and YCs? Nice work mate, I'm reading my way through them atm!

@ChickenMan - if you happen to be the person who scanned those mags over on archive.org would you give us the okay to add them here as well? That way we can fill in some of the blanks in our collection.

We don't use mags from other sites by and large without the approval from person who scanned them even though they may be on a public website. We don't like it happening to us so we don't do it to others.

Hi Kiwi & Jason, yes that is I who has posted a heap of stuff over at archive recently, mostly YC & APC but a few others. Your welcome to add them here, been meaning to offer them just not gotten around to it nor wasn't sure if you wanted them or not as not really "games" mags Smile All that I have put up there your welcome to - all are at https://archive.org/details/@ChickenMan

I have some Silicon Chip mags, on archive but not my scans, that I could scan for you if you like them, let me know. As you have probably gathered I'm more interested in early 8 bit micros rather than "games" directly. I'm at https://microbeetechnology.com.au/forum/index.php also Smile

@ChickenMan - That's really great. Thank you!! Although why on earth would you think we are only into games mags here? Oh , that might be from the website name I guess!! Pfft

Seriously though, we have truckloads of non-gaming mags. I scanned most of Atomic - Maximum Performance Computing and Jason and Aral Dite have scanned a heap of Oz PC mags like APC, PC Authority etc so make no mistake, we like EVERYTHING in this space. We even scan aircraft and car mags for the site . Comics? War mags? Yep indeed!!

If it is retro, not readily available, and of interest to our members then I'm all for making anything available. Microbee? Good Lord!! I haven't heard that name in a decade or three!! Smile

I don't know if the migration is complete or not yet, but the Australian magazines Sega Megazone and Gamestar are missing in the new website.

Still have 1000 mags to migrate guys. Patience .......

BTW ..... the Mediafire accounts are full so some mags have been migrated to a 3rd account. Yes .... I actually pay for THREE Mediafire accounts to keep all these mags online. Moving files means I have to replace links as I migrate then delete the files on the original accounts. That means you might find the occasional mag I missed replacing the links on. Just keep letting me know about them so I can fix them.

Just to note Computer Gamer's downloads are listed in the incorrect order. I thought I'd just make you aware of that Kiwi, not a massive problem I guess.

Does these 1000 issues include the remaining issues of Hyper? It's just that I'm sure that Issue 200 was available on the old site. And given the three newer issues (228, 240 and 257) are currently available, does this mean that eventually we'll get the others? I am very patient, and await the day when the migration is complete. So please keep up the good work.

All 256 issues we possess of Hyper between 001 - 271 have already been added to the site.

I'm a little confused, since I looked up the Issues and they only go up to Issue 190, with Issues 228, 240 and 257 also available. So I am wondering, where are Issues 191-227, 229-239 and 241-256? I know Issue 005 is still absent, so that does not count. Can someone please help me with this, given these issues don't register currently on the website?

I'm guessing you did NOT bother to read the posts on the old forum about the migration and that this new platform does NOT display content that a membership level is not able to access!!

In other words, on Joomla (old site) standard membership meant could SEE archived content but not touch. Now on PHP-Fusion (new site) that level of membership cannot SEE or TOUCH archived content!!
